Contractions Terms of Use

The terms for using Contractions, the contraction timer by TrainRBoost.

Last updated: 6 October 2026

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Contractions, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. Using Contractions

Contractions is a contraction timer: it records the contractions you time, with one tap when each one starts and another when it ends, works out their duration, interval and regularity, compares your pattern with a common guide, lists the signs that mean you should call straight away and offers a breathing exercise. It works without an account.

  • You are responsible for what you enter: Contractions calculates from your taps, and a contraction that was missed or timed late changes what it shows.
  • Contractions is meant for personal use.

3. Licence

TrainRBoost grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Contractions. You agree not to:

  • copy, modify, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from the app;
  • use the app for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the app or to the services behind it.

4. Medical disclaimer

Contractions is not a medical device. It makes no diagnosis and replaces neither the advice of a midwife or a doctor nor the instructions of your hospital.

  • The guide that shows when to call is a common guide, taken from an official source that the app names under it. It is a guide, never an instruction: your midwife, doctor or hospital may give you a different one, and theirs is the one that counts.
  • The duration, interval and regularity shown are calculated from your taps and given for information only, and the list of signs that can't wait does not replace the advice of your midwife, doctor or hospital. If in doubt, call them, whether or not the guide is reached.
  • In an emergency, call emergency services.

5. Liability

Contractions is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, TrainRBoost is not liable for indirect damage or losses arising from the use of the app, including lost contraction records. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

6. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and we will tell you in the app or on this page about any important change. If you keep using Contractions after a change, you accept the new terms.
